After a great first edition in La Tricoterie in February, March is going to very big : Brussels’ most delicious global groove party celebrates it’s second year of existence and to do so in style, we invite Rocky Marsiano who is a master at adding hiphop beats & modern sounds to the beautiful Lusofone music (from Angola, Cape Verde & Mozambique).
Groovalicious is a new party concept in Brussels dedicated to urban roots & global grooves. The driving forces behind it are DJ Mukambo and Bruselo. They have been playing and promoting urban grooves for some years now.
As global groove parties were missing in Brussels, we decided to launch Groovalicious, with the most danceable urban grooves ranging from afrobeat, Brazilian sounds, Latin, arabesque, ethiogrooves and Balkan to hiphop, dancehall & jungle.
Rocky Marsiano (Portugal/Angola) : Rocky Marsiano is the instrumental/beats project of the Portuguese old school producer/MC/DJ D-Mars. On his first albums he explored jazz fusion with elements of soul/funk and Brazilian music. His fourth album "Meu Kamba" brings a very new element to Rocky’s production : music from Angola, Cabo Verde and Mozambique, a colorful journey through the great rhythms from these three African countries.
DJ Mukambo : his weekly program Radio Mukambo immerses you in global grooves and the pulsation of our cities where sounds get mixed up to create world fusion without borders. Afrobeat, ethiogrooves, Afro-Latin, manguebeat, reggae, arabesque, world fusion, global hiphop… Global Grooves from the Urb’n’Jungle !
Bruselo : Urban roots & global grooves from the mountains of Balkan to the beaches of Brazil : Balkan, arabesque, soukous, hip hop, reggae & jungle. Music with groove !
